I’m working on a management report and need an explanation and answer to help me learn.

Summarize the Environmental metrics the company discusses in its report and explain whether or not these metrics align with the company’s strategy. If the metrics align with the company’s strategy, explain why you believe they align. If the metrics do not align with its strategy, explain why you believe they do not align.

Info on environmental accounting metrics for brands such as LVMH:…

No intro or conclusion is necessary.

Some of LVMH’s environmental strategies include:

  • LVMH Climate week “Be the change”
    • A week of dialogue with its 150,00 employees to present the key priorities of the LIFE 360 program – which will guide the Group’s environmental initiatives over the next three, six, and 10 years- and to encourage everyone to “take up the call for action and be a changemaker.”
      • Access to resources; make sure that employees are well informed
  • Preservation
    • LVMH does everything so that their Maisons and workshops are properly preserved.
    • Low-carbon architecture is central to the design of new production sites.
      • E.g. new manufacturing facility opened by Celine in Chianti, Italy.
    • In the Himalayas, Ao Yun uses agroforestry methods to grow high-altitude vines while respecting the terroir and biodiversity, calling on local families to hand-pick the grapes.
  • Biosphere reserves
    • LVMH supports UNSECO’s intergovernmental scientific program “man and the biosphere”, which protects over 700 biosphere reserves globally.
    • UNESCO-LVMH Amazon initiative is set up to tackle the root causes of deforestation and water pollution problems in Brazil, Bolivia, Ecuador, and Peru.
    • In another initiative within the partnership, Guerlain has launched Women for Bees, a scheme to train and support women beekeepers.
  • Materials
    • 100% of strategic raw materials certified to standards guaranteeing the preservation of ecosystems and water resources by 2026
  • Clean Tech
    • The Internal Carbon Fund: A tool used by the Maisons since 2015 to invest in low-carbon equipment that expands the production of renewable energies, it places a value of €30 on each metric ton of CO2 emitted. Over the last five years: 12,800 metric tons of CO2 equivalent emissions have been avoided through 361 projects €44m has been invested
  • The Group also assessed its scope 3 water consumption, identifying that over 95% of water serves to produce raw materials, primarily precious wool—such as cashmere, mohair and vicuña wool—cotton, grapes and grape-based alcohols. Sourcing certified raw materials (such as LWG leather and GOTS cotton, see pages 82-83) represents the most effective way to reduce the Group’s footprint in this area. LVMH is drawing up an action plan to become water-neutral in its sourcing channels, in particular by eliminating raw materials from regions at the greatest risk of desertification and deforestation
    • Reducing the carbon footprint of grape farming primarily involves limiting the use of chemical substances, the production of which generates high levels of emissions.
    • The Maisons undertake to reduce either water consumption, energy consumption or waste production by 10% at each of their sites, as well as deploy an environmental management system to effectively strive for continuous improvement. Sites managed to cut their process water consumption by 11.6%, but did not fulfill the target with respect to waste production, achieving only a 4.4% reduction (compared with an 8.7% rise in 2019), and energy consumption (which rose 0.5%, compared with a 6.5% rise in 2019). The objective for all manufacturing and logistics sites to earn ISO 14001 certification was not achieved, yet the drop in certifications this year compared with 2019 (down from 71% to 69%) came as a result of a number of audits being pushed back to 2021 due to the pandemic.
  • LVMH pays particular attention to the impact of wastewater discharge released by its leather and textile suppliers. Having signed up to the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) commitment, the Group intends to roll the program out to all its strategic suppliers. This is already the case for LWG-certified tanneries, which accounted for 74% of the Group’s supply in 2020, as the standard integrates ZDHC requirements in its certification.

Assignment Resources

There are several sites which let you find out analytics and related info. With SimilarWeb, you’ll be able to view:

  • total visits
  • pages per visit
  • average visit duration
  • bounce rate

You’ll also be able to see where a website is getting majority of its traffic from (direct, search, social, etc.). Here is an example of using this site: (链接到外部网站。)

SEMrush is a site you can use. They ask you for an email address to get ten free requests. It helps you to conduct competitive research on any domain name and to use the data to optimize your campaigns. SEMrush is updated in real time. You can:

  • Keyword Research
  • Competitor Research

  • Backlink Analysis

Each social/digital analytics platform has its own “education” course that helps the individual understand how to best use it. However, since each platform has their own quirks, it’s easier to learn each one. Google has their own, however, it’s much different than what Meltwater does. Same goes for HubSpot and Hootsuite. For example, here’s a post on some of the best social media analytics tools:

The organization I choose is Walmart.

Assignment Overview

This assignment has two parts. First, you will draft a CEO apology script and include a list of anticipated questions from the media. Then, using the script you created, you will record a CEO apology video, as if you were the CEO.

As you’ve observed from the videos of this unit, CEO’s often have to create apology videos during crisis management. Often, a Communications Director’s role is to prepare the CEO for the video.

Foe this assignment, you are the Communications Director for Malaria No More, a nonprofit organization dedicated to the reduction of children affected by the malaria disease in Africa. Recently, your organization has received a lot of positive media attention with supporters, including U-2’s Bono and First Lady Michelle Obama’s endorsement of the organization as well as participation in medical missions in Tanzania. However, last night you were awakened in middle of the night by the organization’s CFO alerting you to the news that your CEO was using the organization’s funds for his own personal purchases, including a vacation home in the Bahamas and expensive diamond jewelry for his wife.

Your task: Use your crisis communications skills and image repair skills to assist your CEO. The CEO is looking to you to fix this situation as a trusted advisor. You propose creating an apology video and releasing it online immediately.

The preparation includes:

  • Drafting the script
  • Asking the appropriate questions to the CEO and packaging the responses for short videos
  • Preparing talking points
  • Creating a list of anticipated questions from the media
  • Practicing the Q&A with your CEO

To complete Part I, prepare the following:

  1. In a word document, prepare a list of questions that you anticipate the media would pose and proposed answers to them.
  2. Beneath the Questions and answers, draft a 30-60 second script for the apology video.
  3. Practice your script as if you were the CEO and you were the one being recorded. As you rehearse, use a timer to ensure that your script is an appropriate length, and edit as necessary to reduce potential stumbles or unclear phrases

In the pre–World War II period, there were several schools of documentary filmmakers whose primary goal was to foster nationalism. This was especially true throughout the 1930s and 1940s in the Soviet Union, United Kingdom, the United States, and Germany.

In this writing assignment, discuss how Manhatta 1921 Directed by Paul Strand, Charles Sheeler articulates a sense of nationalism through its use of one or more of the following stylistic devices:

narrative and narration: the process of revealing and concealing story information through the plot. Some key terms include story, plot, causality, and flashbacks. Note that this is different than voiceover narration, which is part of sound design.

mise-en-scène: the process of placing props, costumes, performances, and settings in a scene. Some key terms include profilmic space, location filming, shadows, lighting, aperture framing, and gestures.

cinematography: the process of using a camera and applying optical and chemical effects to create an photographic image. Some key terms include framing, shallow focus, contrast, slow motion, and angle of framing.

editing: the process of selecting, cutting, and stitching together camera footage. Some key terms include cut, fade, flashbacks, elliptical editing, shot-reverse-shot.

sound design: the sonic elements that complement or undermine the image. Some key terms include diegetic sound, voiceover narration, and offscreen sound.

Your analysis should also focus on one or two scenes in the context of the overall film and the motivations of the filmmaker working in the particular national context.

Be sure to describe the sequences you’re analyzing in detail. Do not use timecode: it doesn’t help me visualize the scene you’re discussing in your paper. Feel free to include a few screen captures from the film in your paper to illustrate your description of the sequence. Do not analyze the entire film, and do not summarize the plot. Also, do not use the word “successful” (or a synonym) anywhere in your essay.

You don’t need to do any outside research for this assignment, but if you do use any bibliographic sources, you will need to cite those. Please remember to italicize the title of the films—don’t put the title in quotes.

❗ Your paper should be about 1,200 words in length

You started a winery in L.A. County in 2014. Your winery is a corporation. You are CEO, CFO and COO. You sell your wine to wholesale distributors throughout the U.S.

You have to:

1.Read Ross et al. (Essentials of Corporate Finance, 10th edition) pp. 293-297 (ATTACHED PDF). You need to understand how to do scenario analysis and sensitivity analysis.

2. *Do the regression with numbers provided in Excel PDF*  You will have historical data that have one number changed (and all other numbers remain the same).  This is your “base case.” You have to explain the results in your report.

3.In addition to your base case, you have to conduct the scenario analysis and/or the sensitivity analysis (Read Ross Book PDF). These analyses are to capture the magnitude of deviations in 2022 operation results from your base case. These deviations arise from the assumption of more deadly new COVID variants in 2022. If these variants emerge, how does your base case change? The scenario and/or sensitivity analysis answers this question. Remember that you have to do this analysis (or analyses) to answer your shareholders’ concern about your 2022 winery operations if COVID hits again in 2022. You have to do a little research on the impact of COVID on the wine industry. Here is a link on COVID impact on Wine Industry that you can use:…  The more evidence-based your analysis (analyses) is, the better. The more realistic your analysis (analyses) is, the better. You have to show your references in your report. **** CHOOSE METHOD #2 FOR SCENARIO ANALYSIS & PROFIT GRAPH. THIS ON PG. 6 IN WINERY PROJECT WORK EXPLANATION SHEET

In conducting the scenario and/or sensitivity analysis, use the pro forma income statement. When you explain the analysis results, you have to show a summary table or tables (in the main text) and these pro forma income statements (in the appendix). ****LOOK AT PAGE 7 IN WINERY PROJECT WORK EXPLANATION PDF.

In an article entitled “Plastics: An Apoplexy” Marian Bantjes writes:

Why are spatulas, flashlights, knives, toys, rubber bands, pens, lightbulbs, phones, fridge magnets, screws and an insane plethora of doodads so often encased in plastic? Even easy-to open plastic? Why are there glass bottles wrapped in plastic? Why are there plastic bottles wrapped in plastic? Why do we need to see spaghetti through a plastic window on the box? There are plastic supports under shirt collars, and extra plastic supports around individual buttons. There are plastic tags and plastic wraps and plastic bags and plastic caps. Every time I open a box of electronic equipment, there are plastic trays and plastic supports and plastic peels on surfaces and plastic tabs to remove and plastic ties to undo … why does every single cord come in its own little plastic bag? Even Apple, who designs some of the most elegant and largely (but not, alas, completely) paper-based packaging, puts every single part in a special plastic bag. Every single shiny surface has another plastic peel on it. If it’s that delicate, how is it going to persevere in my life?

This is insane. It has been about ten years now since designers have been hyper-aware of the excesses of packaging, and have been repeatedly entreated to influence their clients to choose better alternatives. There was an entire AIGA conference devoted to these issues in 2004 (a conference which many seemed to resent as being too preachy). So why is it that a full six years later, we’re still wading through an ocean of plastic?

Question: To what extent do you think plastic is necessary, and how should artists and designers use this material, if at all? Give plenty of examples to support your argument.
